SLIDE GATE VALVE

Slide gate valves are linear motion valves designed for controlling bulk material flow without altering the direction of the material. These valves are typically installed at the outlets of dry bulk storage bins, silos, hoppers, chutes, mechanical conveyors, or similar gravity discharge points, providing an efficient method for managing the flow of free-flowing dry bulk materials while also contributing to air pollution control by minimizing dust emissions during handling operations.

A typical slide gate valve is composed of a valve body, valve seat, valve disc, spindle, gland, and an operating mechanism. While the operation of the valve is most commonly performed using a hand wheel, gear or electric actuators are also prevalent. The compact structure and lower operating torque of slide gate valves ensure good sealing, a reduced flow resistance coefficient, and an extended service life.
